Print of the Month - July 2021
Le Blond & Co. only published two sets of prints for embelishment of small needleboxes.
They are the Regal Set and the Fancy Set.
Both were published in 1853 and were printed together on the same sheet using the patented Baxter Process.
Although Le Blond often gave his prints identification numbers these prints don't have any, probably because they were targeted at needle manufacturers rather than the general public.
All scenes, apart from 2 in the Fancy Set, are smaller versions of Le Blond's earlier prints.
