Print of the Month - February 2021
Printed by William Dickes using the Baxter Process about 1853 for his book "Studies from the Great Masters" which contains reproductions and descriptions of 18 famous paintings.
This particular print is after the well-known painting by Nicolaes Maes which was painted in 1655 and has been in the collection of The National Gallery since it was bequeathed by Richard Simmons in 1847.
